PLUTO
Greek myth still lives
In our culture and is
The way we describe
The world and
The universe.
Poor Pluto always gets
The short end of the
Stick.
A son of Titans
Who shares the power
With Zeus and Poseidon
But his share is under
The earth where he
Watches over the dead
And makes certain
All things grow.
He lives in hell with
His kidnapped bride
Who emerges from
The earth Apollo has
Warmed from the sky.
Now Pluto, once a dark
Planet on the outskirts
Of space, may not be
More than a comet or its trace.
